4 – Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.
i first opened my bird image in photoshop, I converted it to CMYK & 300ppi. I done this because this is the best for printing images. I then created a new document 120 mm X 120 mm as this is the size for a CD cover. I then opened my bird image into this and resized and turned it using the free transform option in the edit box.
I then removed the blue background with the magic eraser tool from the tool box. Image on the right.
I then gave it a light blue background with the rectangle tool from tool box adding the blue fill colour, I them used my eraser tool as a custom brush as a stamp to remove areas of the blue to create a cloud effect. Image on left. |
I then created my text for my design, using the random names & words as required for this exercise. I used a bold font then added some effects to it :- Drop shadow in red & bevel& emboss. The image on the left shows this also my layers palette.
I think that this exercise has been very useful and I think that the image of the bird in the stormy sky works well with what would be the track title "Aim High in Hope & Work" |
